The dual attack of poverty and disease has not been able to put down the dreams of Anukriti to become a doctor in the future. On the one hand, her father being a small-time employee of a grocery shop has little income which hardly can make the family members’ both ends meet, on the other hand, she has been suffering from acute diabetes since her childhood days. She takes insulin four times a day. Without help from anyone she hardly can move from one place to the other, which is why she could not be physically present in the interview-cum-interactive session conducted by IVEST. She was telephonically interviewed. Anukriti scored 641 marks in the Madhyamik Examination despite having gone through all the difficult and adverse situations. Her school DaihatUchcha Balika Vidyalaya, Katwa is proud of her achievement. She has been awarded IVEST Scholarship.
